19 days ago FlagThe United Socialist States of Rylovatkia Greetings from Rylovatkia great comrades! Land of the beer and home of big asses and big boobs!
18 days ago FlagThe Democratic Republic of White Immortallia Comrade Rylovatkia, I posted this in the USSR after you left (without realising you had gone) in response to you saying how you were a Republican who just wanted to see what it was like to be a Communist. I would like for you to read it so I am reposting it here for your benefit;

Comrade Rylovatkia, without wanting to be overly blunt… in what way is your nation Communist? I am glad you are wanting to learn about different political philosophies, don’t get me wrong. But let me clarify what I am trying to point out;

Communist theory proposes the greatest freedoms for the individual as possible, as well as the most democratic freedoms imaginable. I will explain how this is justified.

Marx believed that Bourgeois-Democratic States like the US, the UK, France, Germany etc. were basically controlled by the richest in society. And when we consider the massive influence that money has on political campaigns from private corporations you can see his point. However he also went into exhaustive detail about how capitalism allows the exploitation of man by man and the crushing of their civil rights and political freedoms. Long battles have gone on especially in the west to gain freedoms for the individual, but what we often forget is the terrible effect capitalism is having all over the world, with sweatshops and trade unionists being murdered by corporations almost daily.
The point is, Marx argued that when the Bourgeoisie i.e. the Rich, were a powerful huge force in the nation then it could not be free, since they would always use their massive amounts of resources to look after their own interests, especially through influencing politics.
Hence Marx called this the Dictatorship of the Bourgeoisie. And Lenin agreed:

"Freedom in capitalist society always remains about the same as it was in ancient Greek republics: Freedom for slave owners."

Marxist theory goes that as the poor recognise their plight (as the rich get richer and the majority of people only get poorer and more crushed by the rich and powerful into a state of abject poverty and effective slavery) they would revolt against the tyranny of the rich and powerful. Hence the largest proportion of the population, the working classes, who produced all wealth and profit through their hard labour in the factories and fields of the nation would realise that without the rich and powerful men who did no work, their lives would be so much better. Hence we have revolution. The destruction of the Dictatorship of the Bourgeoisie and the establishment of the rule of the majority of the people instead. This stage is called the Socialist State. And it is a Dictatorship of the Proletariat. i.e. the majority of people (the workers) would control the nation through a proper democracy that could not be influenced by the rich, because the means of production (factories, farms, etc) were held in common by those who worked in them instead of being owned by a few very wealthy individuals. This is the abolition of private property that Marx talks about in great detail. The abolition of private property doesn’t mean stealing people’s houses out from under them as capitalist propaganda loves to try to make us believe. It means that the factories and workshops and farms and fields are owned by everyone at once, and their work is only for themselves therefore.
Thus the Socialist State destroys bourgeois power and slowly decreases the bourgeois class, expropriating their wealth through taxes and putting their factories in the hands of the workers.
This is all achieved by the workers controlling the whole state, they understand the benefit of common ownership rather than a few rich people and will mobilize the state so that they may control the nation.
"The revolution is a dictatorship of the exploited against the exploiters." ~ Fidel Castro

Hence we have the Dictatorship of the Proletariat, since it is now the rich and powerful bourgeoisie who have no political power. Of course they can vote! But since they are only about 10% of the population at best, without their money they are powerless to control the masses!
So Marx argued. Hence we get sayings like: "Democracy is the road to socialism!" from him.

A lot of later Communists agreed with Marx naturally. So we have Lenin saying things like: "Democracy is indispensable to socialism." And;

"Under socialism all will govern in turn and will soon become accustomed to no one governing"

And there are hundreds more examples. Not one Communist has argued in favour of an actual Dictatorship of the few over the many. The whole point of Socialism is that it is democratic. And the tyranny created by Stalin and the stain of Stalinism on Communism is a terrible one. All Communists know this.

“Stalin had as much to do with Marx as the Spanish Inquisition had to do with Jesus.” to quote British Socialist Tony Benn. By which he means they both perverted a great idea to do something horrible to their fellow men!

Now as the first prime minister of India correctly pointed out: "Democracy and socialism are means to an end, not the end itself." And in this assessment of Communist doctrine, Comrade Jawaharlal Nehru could not be more correct.

Communist theory argues that the State is a tool of oppression. Whether it is the few oppressing the many (Dictatorship of the Bourgeoisie) or the many oppressing the few (Dictatorship of the Proletariat) it is always oppression. So the aim of the Socialist State is to educate the entire population into being egalitarians. Thus destroying Bourgeois concepts like oppression and wage slavery and exploitation. So when the entire world become Socialist States through worldwide Socialist revolt and the freedoms of the people slowly grow and grow, the states will crumble and collapse and exploitation, war, famine, poverty and discrimination will all become things of the past.

As Comrade Lenin said:

“When there is state there can be no freedom, but when there is freedom there will be no state."

This stateless worldwide society free from social stratification into rich and poor is the ideal. It is the goal. It is the end product, brought about through absolute freedom and democratic power. It is the notion of worldwide Communism. Hence Communists are always for freedom and democracy and we here things like:

"Communists have always played an active role in the fight by colonial countries for their freedom, because the short-term objects of Communism would always correspond with the long-term objects of freedom movements." ~ Nelson Mandela

While the capitalist bourgeois states are always the greatest supporters of oppression and Dictatorship. Like the apartheid in South Africa for just one example! Where many Communists fought hard to defeat it as Comrade Mandela well knows! It cannot be a more black and white struggle than this.

"The goal of socialism is communism." ~ Vladimir Lenin

So now I have written my thoughts. I ask you Comrade Rylovatkia again;

In what way is your nation at all Communist? It neither has great freedoms nor does it have a strong healthy democracy. It is merely the rule of a tiny number of powerful individuals. Which is unquestionably simply fascism. And:

"Fascism is capitalism in decay." ~ Vladimir Lenin.
