The Rejected Realms [RRA]

| WELCOME | GETTING INVOLVED | LAWS AND TREATIES | [ THE RRA ] | THE REJECTED TIMES

ABOUT THE RRA…

The Rejected Realms Army (RRA) is one of the longest standing army in NationStates. Created in May 2003, the army helps protect regions from invaders and promotes peace and security as a stabilizing force abroad. Every day, regions are senselessly invaded and without the hard work and dedication of volunteers, occupations would go uninterrupted, and invasions would go unimpeded.

Alumni of the Rejected Realms Army have gone on to:

  • Serve as Delegate of the Rejected Realms as well as other governmental positions.

  • Hold high positions in large organizations such as the Alliance Defense Network, the Founderless Regions Alliance, and the United Defender League.

  • Receive Commendations by the World Assembly Security Council, the highest honor to recognize outstanding contributions to the game.

A few notable operations: LinkLiberation of the South Pacific (2013), Liberation of Lazarus (2015), LinkDefense of 10000 Islands (2003), Liberation of Hogwarts (2015), LinkDefense of Japan (2003)

A DAY IN A LIFE OF A RRA SOLDIER…

The Rejected Realms Army focuses on fighting invasions and occupations abroad. Invaders ‘invade’ regions by moving nations into founderless, vulnerable regions and endorsing one another to assume the region’s delegacy. Once WA Delegate, invaders can use that position’s special powers to wreak havoc in the region: spamming, advertising, suppressing, and ejecting and banning natives. Our army, aiming to stop these invaders, broadly help native communities deal with invaders in four different kinds of operations…

  • Defenses – When invaders first move into their target’s region, there is about a four second window of time where, if defenders can respond quick enough, they can move into the invaded region and endorse the native delegate, which can counter the invasion altogether. To respond in such quick time involves extreme vigilance – defenders will watch the world’s activity for suspicious behavior closely.

  • Liberations – If invaders successfully gain control of the region’s delegacy, they may choose to occupy the region; this means to remove the invaders from the region, a team of defenders will have to synchronise their movement – enter the region at a particular moment – and endorse the former native delegate with the hopes of freeing the region from occupation. The teamwork involved makes liberations both fun and exhilarating, and it’s certainly rewarding when you can help an occupied region out.

  • Support – Oftentimes, especially after liberations, defenders may need to continue to stay in a vulnerable region – this is often to facilitate a safe and stable transition for a region in its first few days, post-occupation.

  • Restorations – You may have noticed that some founderless regions have had their World Factbook Entries and regional flags spammed by prominent invader groups; defenders will often move into these regions as teams, endorse one another, and use the delegate’s powers to restore the region to how it looked prior to it being invaded. We teach new recruits how to find web caches of regional pages, for example, so that you can restore a region perfectly to how it once looked. We often call restoration missions “detags” for short.
