The Occultus Acrimae

Following the dawn of the 21st Century, the Arukkai, an ancient and magically endowed race of Anthropomorphic beings watched as Humans began to see them in a new light. Some thought them as unnatural spawn, while others embraced them and joined them in allegiances for dual protection and prosperity. With the creation of biological, chemical and atomic weapons by humans, the Arukkai feared that one day, these weapons would be turned against them.

With that realization in mind, the High Queen of Arcadonisia has reauthorized the formation of the Paramilitary group known only as the Occultus Acrimae, a hidden and secretive sect of Arukkai soldiers that serve as the Military branch of the Order of the Naturals. Although they are officially unaffiliated with the Armed Forces, their actions and reputation is known throughout history. Below lists their Creed, Blood Oath of Servitude and other information.

The Occultus Creed is the Highest set of Laws that govern the Occultus' actions. No member can break or refuse to abide by them, as they have paid the fines of membership through blood. Refusual to follow the Creed results in Banishment, and in some cases, death.

I. The continuity and survival of the Arukkai Species is of highest priority. All members are bound by the Blood Oath of Servitude to serve their kind and protect them from all harm.

II. Each Occultus Member is valued as a vital piece on the protection of the People of Arcadonisia. All Arukkai beliefs and values are to be held as sacrosanct.

III. The Occultus protects, the Occultus serves selflessly, the Occultus does not forgive or forget, the Occultus never surrenders, the Occultus watches out for its own.

IV. Above all else, the Arukkai legacy and spirit must never be compromised. In Life or Death, these tenants shall be upheld.

The Blood Oath is a sacred ceremony where initiates take the final steps in becoming an Agent of Acrimae. Each initiate pledges servitude to the Occultus and the Goodwill of all Arukkai and swears to uphold the Creed through the act of bloodletting. Each initiate is required to cut their palms and place their handprint in the book of Records, which formalizes the Agent's membership and admission into the Occultus.

The following is the Oath required to become an official Agent of Acrimae:

"Through this sacrifice I lay my life down to protect, serve and preserve the legacy of our people. Through this offering I will stand with my brothers and sisters in arms to protect the innocent and stop those who wish us harm. Should I fail in my blood-oath to carry out my duties, may no mercy be shown upon me, as I will expect none. Bound by Blood and Kinship, we will stand as One."
