Security Council Resolutions

Since the rise of the World Assembly from the ashes of its predecessor, the Bureaucracy That Cannot Be Named, WA member nations have worked tirelessly to improve the standard of the world. That, or tried to force other nations to be more like them. But that's just semantics.

Below is every World Assembly resolution ever passed.

* REPEALED *

Liberate Feudal Japan

A resolution to strike down Delegate-imposed barriers to free entry in a region.

Category: Liberation

Nominee (region): Feudal Japan

Proposed by: The SedgeThe Sedge

Description: RECOGNISING Feudal Japan as a sizeable and active region prior to its invasion in November 2007;

NOTING that the invasion of the region by Catlandatopia, Fox Rite, The Cathedral, and Blades of Conquest led to the imposition of a secret password and the ejection of Feudal Japan's innocent members;

UNDERSTANDING the disruption caused to the former residents of Feudal Japan, and the distress the aforementioned actions caused to them;

DISAPPOINTED that the region's current occupiers have left the region to rot and degrade into a mockery of its former self - with no indication of any community activity surviving the decay;

FURTHER NOTING that the former residents of Feudal Japan currently reside in Tokugawa Japan and still desire to return to Feudal Japan;

AWARE that the nations formerly resident in Feudal Japan can return to their region only through the intervention of the Security Council;

HEREBY removes password protection from Feudal Japan, and forbids any future attempts to password said region.

SECURITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION # 7

Repeal "Liberate Feudal Japan"

A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation.

Category: Repeal

Resolution: SC#6

Proposed by: The koz

Description: WA Security Council Resolution #6: Liberate Feudal Japan shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

Argument: Statements captured by Security Council Resolution #6: Liberate Feudal Japan (Category: Liberation) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

RECOGNISING Feudal Japan, a formerly sizeable and active region prior to its invasion in November 2007, has been restored to the recognized heirs of its founder, as anticipated by the passage of said Liberation resolution;

NOTING that forces of the FRA, TITO, Equilism, Texas, Europeia, 00000 A World Power, Yggdrasil, The United Kingdom, Crusaders of Justice, Liberty Alliance, Antarctica, and Royal Federation of Nations have accomplished this by neutralizing the act of invasion perpetrated by Catlandatopia, Fox Rite, The Cathedral, and Blades of Conquest upon the region Feudal Japan as it was cited in that resolution;

UNDERSTANDING while the region remains in contention between these opposing forces and under the threat of repeat invasion and assault, there is risk of disruption to the reclamation activities of the neutral residents of Feudal Japan as they rebuild their shattered community, as well as imposition to its desire for removing itself as a battleground so it may exist in peace;

FURTHER recognizing that the constructive act of rebuilding this region will swiftly contradict the Liberation resolution's statement that "current occupiers have left the region to rot and degrade into a mockery of its former self", which referred to its status post-invasion, pre-reclamation;

AWARE that the only hope for true peace and security being restored to this founderless region and for defusing uneasy standoff amongst the international community is by way of removing this "bone of contention" from the international stage, which requires restoring the region's ability for password protection as defence against future aggressors;

HEREBY retires Security Council Resolution #6 "Liberate Feudal Japan".

SECURITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION # 8

Repeal "Commend 10000 Islands"

A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation.

Category: Repeal

Resolution: SC#5

Proposed by: AegaraAegara

Description: WA Security Council Resolution #5: Commend 10000 Islands shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

Argument: The Peoples of the World Assembled,

RECOGNISING that whilst "Commend 10000 Islands" was well intentioned, and was intended to recognise the contribution of 10000 Islands to the game;

APPALLED that such a badly written resolution is allowed to stand;

DECLARING that extra-regional alliances should not have a place in the Commendation of one region;

CONDEMNING the bias towards defenders that has been shown in the Commendation of 10000 Islands;

WISHING to maintain the time honoured tradition of World Assembly neutrality and fairness to all nations and regions;

HEREBY repeals "Commend 10000 Islands" on the grounds that displays obvious ideological and technical flaws.

Votes Against: 2,817 (45%)

SECURITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION # 9

* REPEALED *

Liberate The Security Council

A resolution to strike down Delegate-imposed barriers to free entry in a region.

Category: Liberation

Nominee (region): The Security Council

Proposed by: Unibotian wasc mission

Description: We the Peoples of the Security Council,

Perceiving the short history of the Security Council so far, as an unsteady beginning -- one full of uncertainty and hesitancy;

Recalling the World Assembly, and at least one historical institution before that, whose beginnings were equally as unsteady;

Aware of the difference between the Security Council and these successful establishments lies not in their ideals, but their organization;

Determining that a higher degree of self-determination, and freedom is thus necessary for a successful establishment;

Whereas the World Assembly Security Council is disregarded as an international malingerer, a distraction from the imperative directives of the General Assembly;

Distressed to hear of potential authors of Security Council Resolutions who have decided not to pursue issues of international security out of fear, and intimidation from naysayers who have been attached to the Security Council not out of preference, but because of its association with the General Assembly -- which is not unlike the relationship of a child to its older brother;

Concerned that such a fraternal shadow may cast darkness over some pressing issues in our world;

Hereby, in the name of dedication to the dissemination of inter-regional peace and goodwill, liberates the Security Council.
