The Federal Commonwealth of Ozanria is a massive, socially progressive nation, ruled by Federal Governor Henry Wedd with an iron fist, and remarkable for its keen interest in outer space. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 1.44 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The medium-sized, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of the District of Bennings. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 3%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Tourism.

Citizens are regularly arrested in queues for 'loitering', private business has started paving paradises and putting up parking lots, young children are regularly seen wagering pocket money at blackjack tables, and the government is reining in public spending. Crime is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Ozanria's national animal is the Bald Eagle, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Federal Credit.
