The Fiefdom of Zzzaaa is a colossal, safe nation, ruled by Her Serene Highness Guinivere with a fair hand, and remarkable for its complete lack of prisons. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 6.338 billion are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whoever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Welfare, and the Environment. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Zzzaaa City. The average income tax rate is 100%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Scientists regularly clone human beings for research purposes, it is mandatory to learn evolution in schools, the state pays for care of easily preventable illnesses, and the mining industry has taken a hit from tighter environmental regulations. Crime is totally unknown. Zzzaaa's national animal is the polar bear, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the florin.

Zzzaaa is ranked 4,517th in The North Pacific and 100,723rd in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -49 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
