The Kingdom of Zxortanites is a colossal, safe nation, notable for its ban on automobiles. The hard-nosed population of 7.074 billion Zxortanitesians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although Law & Order and Defence are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Zxortanites City. The average income tax rate is 12%, but much higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Homeless people are frequently charged with trespassing on public property, eight year-olds can be seen lighting up in public areas, the nation is ravaged by daily union strikes, and the nation has welcomed its expats back with open arms. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Zxortanites's national animal is the wingless eagle, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the zxort.

Zxortanites is ranked 1st in The International Radiated Wasteland and 40,104th in the world for Highest Drug Use, scoring 77 on the Pineapple Fondness Rating.
