The People's Republic of Zimbukistan is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Emperor Zwin with an iron fist, and remarkable for its punitive income tax rates. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 1.24 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Zimburg. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 82%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Uranium Mining and Beef-Based Agriculture.

Hairdressers are among those who have disappeared overnight, the government's official stance on religion is that it is so very silly, commuter vessels have trouble staying afloat due to increased passengers, and waste is frequently shipped to other countries. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Zimbukistan's national animal is the Dragon, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Silver Plated Bottle Cap.
