The Constitutional Monarchy of Zidano The Land of the Great Sakhal is a massive, cultured nation, ruled by Sakhal Joshua James Wilkin PhD with an even hand, and notable for its keen interest in outer space. Its compassionate population of 4.74 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Defence, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Kingstown upon Zidano river. The average income tax rate is 87%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Motorists must pay to enter inner-cities during peak hours, retirement homes are often fitted with luxurious suites, political parties are banned from advertising and receiving private donations, and prisons are crowded with possible terrorist suspects. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Zidano The Land of the Great Sakhal's national animal is the Lion, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Kanakau.

Zidano The Land of the Great Sakhal is ranked 55th in World Alliance and 19,236th in the world for Highest Police Ratios, scoring 71 on the Orwell Orderliness Index.
