The Democratic Dictatorship of Zgraja is a colossal, safe nation, ruled by Victor Phire with an iron fist, and renowned for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 6.846 billion are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Defence, although Law & Order and Healthcare are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Komi. The average income tax rate is 72%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Gambling.

The ban on cars has been repealed, elections have recently been reintroduced to Zgraja, otherwise healthy people are being sent to internment camps because they have VODAIS, and movies and computer games are strictly censored for violence. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Zgraja's national animal is the Wisent, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is The Church of Eternal Light, and its currency is the Lemon.
