The Theodemocratic States of Zeorus is a colossal, cultured nation, ruled by Christian Pratt with an even hand, and renowned for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population of 8.469 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Religion & Spirituality, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Zion. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 71%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Zeorus-made cars tend to catch fire in people's driveways, corporations donate huge sums of money to favored politicians, the study of medicine is popular throughout Zeorus, and only the rich can afford the latest medical innovations. Crime is well under control, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Zeorus's national animal is the grizzly bear, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Mormonism, and its currency is the talent.

Zeorus is ranked 55th in Equilism and 77,622nd in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -16 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
