The Federated Socialist Republic of Zeorus is a gargantuan, economically powerful nation, ruled by President Azek Wood with a fair hand, and renowned for its national health service. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 10.647 billion are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whoever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although Commerce and Religion & Spirituality are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Lehen. The average income tax rate is 92%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Recruitment posters proclaim the army to be both fabulous and fashionable, all-natural foods are becoming a major fad, the fire protection service is wholly government-funded, and programmes of questionable content are shown at peak-hours. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Zeorus's national animal is the Grizzly bear, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is none, and its currency is the Equiliant.

Zeorus is ranked 781st in Equilism and 126,711th in the world for Most Eco-Friendly Governments, scoring -51 on the Dolphin Recycling Awareness Index.
