Overview People Government Economy Trend Analysis

The Corporate Dictatorship of Zedikistan is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Chief Executive Zed with an iron fist, and renowned for its sprawling nuclear power plants, smutty television, and punitive income tax rates. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless population of 2.866 billion Zedikistani are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

The government — a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked, corrupt, well-organized morass — juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Mammon Arcology. The average income tax rate is 97.2%.

The strong Zedikistani economy, worth 277 trillion Gilt Frogs a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient, highly specialized black market in Arms Manufacturing, Gambling, and Uranium Mining. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 96,768 Gilt Frogs, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Birds and children's kites are regularly brought down by anti-aircraft fire, the nation is experiencing a severe shortage of sporting events, police wait behind troop deployments in order to shoot deserters, and prisons are crowded with possible terrorist suspects. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Zedikistan's national animal is the Frog, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its national religion is Mammon's Law.

Zedikistan is ranked 4th in The Rolpian League and 5,324th in the world for Largest Public Transport Department, scoring 89 on the Societal Mobility Rating.
