The Communist Paradise of Zedikistan is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Zed with an iron fist, and notable for its enforced nudity. The hard-nosed, cynical population of 2.551 billion Zedikistani are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Zelingrad. The average income tax rate is 96%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Arms Manufacturing.

Public loudspeakers constantly tell citizens they are "happy people", clowns are being rounded up and admitted to mental institutions, the populace has developed a mortal fear of the woods, and mandatory electronic currency is a boon for credit card companies and government surveillance. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Zedikistan's national animal is the Bear, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is The Cult of Zed, and its currency is the Zedi.

Zedikistan is ranked 16th in The Rolpian League and 93,221st in the world for Most Extensive Civil Rights, with 34 Martin Luther King, Jr. Units.
