Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population of 1.769 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Education, although the Environment and Healthcare are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Palmyra. The average income tax rate is 94%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The nation has welcomed its expats back with open arms, politicians have to be granted day-release from prison to speak on bills, leather-clad individuals can be seen walking their slaves in public parks, and students cut up leftover Zayazi Gold Coins during Arts and Crafts. Crime is totally unknown. Zayaz's national animal is the Maasai Lion, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is buddhism, and its currency is the Zayazi Gold Coin.

Zayaz is ranked 253rd in The Internationale and 129,163rd in the world for Largest Mining Sector, scoring -10 on the Blue Sky Asbestos Index.
