OverviewPeopleGovernmentEconomyTrendAnalysis

The Queen's State of Zayas Island is a colossal, socially progressive nation, notable for its strong anti-business policies. The intelligent population of 8.065 billion Zayas Islandians are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whomever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Social Welfare, although Healthcare and Education are on the agenda. The average income tax rate is 44%, but much higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Door-to-door Insurance Sales.

Voting is voluntary. Crime is relatively low. Zayas Island's national animal is the deer, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the betale.

Zayas Island is ranked 489th in Japvia and 98,136th in the world for Longest Average Lifespans, scoring 8 on the Enoch Index.
