The invader-kicking defenders of Zandra is a gargantuan, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Zandra with an even hand, and notable for its strong anti-business politics. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 11.031 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of the Environment, Education, and Social Welfare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Zandra City. The average income tax rate is 97%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Libraries are now installed with jacuzzis and mini-bars, Rupert Bear is considered to be the most risqué TV program in Zandra, Zandra has designated Zandra City as its capital city, and Zandra has just been declared ruler of Zandra in an international press conference. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown. Zandra's national animal is the cheetah, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the gold coin.

Zandra is ranked 222nd in The Moon and 99,060th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -35 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
