Overview • PeopleGovernmentEconomyTrendAnalysis

The Principality of Yofi is a massive, cultured nation, ruled by Prime Minister Yofiberg with an even hand, and renowned for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 2.962 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Welfare, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Yofi City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 53%. A healthy private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Beef-Based Agriculture and Woodchip Exports.

Hundreds of thousands of convicts work as slaves in Yofi's many privately-owned prisons, citizens applying for their first jobs face fierce competition from the homeless, private business has started paving paradises and putting up parking lots, and reporters often lose their jobs over fact-checking errors. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Yofi's national animal is the Shiksa, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Shekel.

Yofi is ranked 2nd in Jerusalem and 30,254th in the world for Most Eco-Friendly Governments, scoring 28 on the Dolphin Recycling Awareness Index.
