The Pristine Wilderness of Yeldan Nature Preserve is a gargantuan, genial nation, ruled by China Cat Sunflower with an even hand, and remarkable for its suspicion of poets. The compassionate population of 20.154 billion Yeldan Nature Preserveans are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is effectively ruled by the Department of the Environment, with areas such as Defence and Commerce receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of a psychedelic school bus. The average income tax rate is 100%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The upper class have been throwing riots after hunting was recently banned, noises louder than a whisper have been prohibited by law, a weakened police force struggles to maintain law and order, and wind farms are erected on shuttered oil platforms. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is a serious problem, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Yeldan Nature Preserve's national animal is the Spotthecat, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Environmentalism, and its currency is the YNP Pound.

Yeldan Nature Preserve is ranked 3rd in Forest and 139th in the world for Largest Public Transport Department, scoring 410 on the Societal Mobility Rating.
