The Empire of Yanoda is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Yanoda with a fair hand, and notable for its devotion to social welfare. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 2.484 billion love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Education, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Defence receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Yanopolis. The average income tax rate is 94%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Tourism industry.

Elections have become procedural nightmares due to voters persistently rejecting candidates, parents live in fear of governmental 'child protection' squads, medical lawsuits are out of control, and every product goes through extensive safety-testing by the government. Crime is totally unknown. Yanoda's national animal is the Ewok, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Yano.
