The Stellar Realm of Xomic is a gargantuan, socially progressive nation, ruled by The Arbitratrix with an even hand, and renowned for its devotion to social welfare. Its hard-nosed, intelligent population of 11.569 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Education, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Orphanus. The average income tax rate is 97%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

High-income earners pay a 100% tax rate, prime real estate is devoted to wind farms and solar energy generators, Xomic has been recently classified as an international menace after 'liberating' several nearby territories, and frequent fliers are obliged to submit to invasive security procedures by government security. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Xomic's national animal is the Nanite Trees, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Xomician Moon Worship, and its currency is the Shell.

Xomic is ranked 3rd in Cental Pacific Archipelago and 80,101st in the world for Most Compassionate Citizens, scoring -23 on the Kitten Softness Rating.
