The Grand Dominion of Xomic is a gargantuan, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by The Arbitratrix with an even hand, and renowned for its anti-smoking policies. Its hard-nosed, intelligent population of 12.183 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Education, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Orphanus. The average income tax rate is 96%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Guns are banned, legislators work 24/7 due to an influx of single-issue bills, Nanite Treess are considered a delicacy, and people can often be seen driving to work in war-surplus tanks. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Xomic's national animal is the Nanite Trees, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Xomician Moon Worship, and its currency is the Shell.
