The Queendom of Wyare is a massive, cultured nation, ruled by Queen Lydia Cuthbertson Shelley with an even hand, and remarkable for its national health service. Its compassionate population of 1.93 billion are prohibited from doing almost everything except voting, which they do timidly and conservatively.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Education, and Social Equality. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Fleurette. The average income tax rate is 97%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

There has been a series of riots between local cannibals and health food advocates, a crusade against barbaric religious practices has begun, Rupert Bear is considered to be the most risqué TV programme in Wyare, and citizens are regularly arrested in queues for 'loitering'. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Wyare's national animal is the Snowy Owl, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Religion, and its currency is the Qun.

Wyare is ranked 11th in Asgardia and 122,200th in the world for Largest Mining Sector, scoring -5 on the Blue Sky Asbestos Index.
