The Constitutional Monarchy of Willanthry is a massive, cultured nation, ruled by Lanceus Deacuilus with an even hand, and renowned for its parental licensing program. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 1.764 billion are free to succeed or fail in life on their own merits; the successful tend to enjoy an opulent (but moralistic) lifestyle, while the failures can be seen crowding out most jails.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, moralistic government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as Social Equality and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Vi-Lan-Ki. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 47%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism industry, followed by Beef-Based Agriculture and Gambling.

Willanthry's leader goes out to lunch surrounded by large men in dark glasses, guns are banned, cars are banned from built-up areas, and Animal Liberationists are regularly jailed. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Willanthry's national animal is the Falcon, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Church of Willanthry, and its currency is the Corona Civica.

Willanthry is ranked 3,614th in The East Pacific and 82,137th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -18 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
