The Trading Community of Whitebrow is a massive, economically powerful nation, renowned for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 2.152 billion are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded individuals juggles the competing demands of the Environment, Education, and Law & Order. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 1%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Uranium Mining and Gambling.

Many newspapers agree that the government's ban on cars to combat reckless driving was "a tad excessive", notable individuals are granted land and titles, cremation is compulsory for the deceased, and major internet servers have acquired citizenship. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is a major problem. Whitebrow's national animal is the eagle, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Pamparira.

Whitebrow is ranked 418th in Osiris and 11,420th in the world for Largest Mining Sector, scoring 5 on the Blue Sky Asbestos Index.
