The Equilism protectorate of Whamabama is a colossal, socially progressive nation, ruled by Richard Marks with an even hand, and remarkable for its unlimited-speed roads. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 8.633 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Oured. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 17%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing, Information Technology, and Arms Manufacturing industries.

Citizens are regularly found digging for treasure in their gardens, the government is spending millions on renovating the public transportation system, frequent fliers are obliged to submit to invasive security procedures by government security, and high food prices have reduced the national diet to staple foods and water. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Whamabama's national animal is the bearded clam, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Equiliant.

Whamabama is ranked 39th in Equilism and 35,601st in the world for Most Politically Free, scoring 66 on the Diebold Election Inking Scale.
