The Nationalist Empire of West Estainia is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Czarina Aleczandrina Yordanova with an even hand, and renowned for its keen interest in outer space. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 4.439 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized government juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of New Moscow. The average income tax rate is 14%, but much higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism industry, followed by Information Technology and Uranium Mining.

Ethnic minorities are often refused admission to some of the nation's best schools, a weakened police force struggles to maintain law and order, only fully-fledged members of MENSA are allowed to vote, and international tensions are high as West Estainia threatens any government with the audacity to arrest its citizens. Crime is a serious problem. West Estainia's national animal is the Eagle, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Luciellian, and its currency is the Ruble.
