The United States of Weitzel is a gargantuan, economically powerful nation, ruled by Der Kommissar with a fair hand, and renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 20.008 billion live in a state of perpetual fear, as a complete breakdown of social order has led to the rise of order through biker gangs.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as Social Equality and Healthcare receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Smallville. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 66%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Gambling industry, followed by Beef-Based Agriculture and Information Technology.

Internet service is too costly for normal people to purchase, euthanasia is illegal, priests are being drafted by the church load, and penurious citizens die from easily remedied ailments because they aren't 'taking enough initiative'. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling. Weitzel's national animal is the duckbilled platypus, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Smelly Fart.
