The Protectorate of Warpia is a massive, socially progressive nation, ruled by Leader with an even hand, and renowned for its devotion to social welfare. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 1.183 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Defence, although Healthcare and Education are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Wyvern. The average income tax rate is 76%, and even higher for the wealthy. A robust private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Tourism and Woodchip Exports.

The latest Harry Potter book is a bestseller, the internet has been placed under government control, college students make ends meet by selling their kidneys, and Warpia's famous countrysides are shrouded by wind farms. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Warpia's national animal is the Grizzly Bear, and its currency is the Credit.
