The Afrikaner Free State of Wanderjar is a colossal, socially progressive nation, ruled by State President Michael Blair with an even hand, and remarkable for its punitive income tax rates. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 8.807 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Defence, although Law & Order and Commerce are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Bloemfontein. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Automobile Manufacturing, and Uranium Mining industries.

Corporate lobbying has been outlawed, nursing mothers are often arrested for indecent exposure, manual labourers must be willing to have cybernetic limbs to get a job, and the commercialisation of highly deadly weapons has instilled Wanderjar with a very polite populace. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Wanderjar's national animal is the Lion, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Wanderjarian Rand.

Wanderjar is ranked 5th in the region and 893rd in the world for Most Godforsaken.
