The Colony of VU is a huge, economically powerful nation, remarkable for its complete absence of social welfare. Citizens can be frequently spotted going about their business stark naked, surveillance cameras are banned, voting is voluntary, and military funding has been stripped back. Crime is crippling, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. VU's national animal is the eagle, and its currency is the dollar.
