The Constitutional Monarchy of Vladistania is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by King Vlad III with an iron fist, and notable for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 2.109 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Defence, and Law & Order. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Vladograd. The average income tax rate is 87%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Book Publishing industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Uranium Mining.

The people of Vladistania are renowned for their nihilistic attitudes, airport security is provided by private companies, graffiti graces every city's streets, and criminals are put to death while cuddling their favourite teddy bear. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Vladistania's national animal is the vulture, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the omnibuck.

Vladistania is ranked 4,553rd in the South Pacific and 94,207th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -25 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
