Its compassionate, cynical population of 1.097 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

X-Files ratings have hit an all-time low, politicians are to be found scavenging bins at night to supplement their income, the government's official stance on religion is that it is so very silly, and refugees from other nations are flocking to Vietminh's border. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Vietminh's national animal is the Dragon, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Dong.

Vietminh is ranked 2nd in The Communist Party of NationStates and 74,164th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -15 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
