Its compassionate, cynical population of 2.705 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Equality, and Social Welfare. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Vastuk's navy has been named the scourge of the seven thousand seas, all beauty contests have been banned, houses and businesses are bulldozed to make way for ever-expanding cemeteries, and the latest Harry Potter book is a bestseller. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is pervasive, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Vastuk's national animal is the Snail, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is a major religion, and its currency is the Tiny Eagle.

Vastuk is ranked 1st in Brasil Potencia and 98,041st in the world for Most Extreme, scoring 10 on the Paul-Nader Subjective Decentrality Index.
