The Retired Revolutionary of V Ming is a colossal, safe nation, ruled by Political Commissar Ming with an iron fist, and renowned for its museums and concert halls. The compassionate, cynical population of 6.559 billion V Mingians are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Equality, and Law & Order. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Ming City. The average income tax rate is 99%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Citizens have never heard foreign radio, the nation has welcomed its expats back with open arms, invasive species are hunted by the gendarmerie, and elevator music has been replaced by thrash metal played at maximum volume. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. V Ming's national animal is the Dove, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies, its national religion is National Liberation, and its currency is the Credit.

V Ming is ranked 1st in Korean Peoples Army and 69,753rd in the world for Most Subsidized Industry, scoring 2 on the Gilded Widget Scale.
