The Dictatorship of Ushkhohsania is a huge, economically powerful nation, remarkable for its punitive income tax rates. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 723 million are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as Social Equality and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Konfa City. The average income tax rate is 72%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The arms industry is backed by government subsidies and harsh anti-protest laws are in place, postmen have been arrested in job lots for selling junk mail as home insulation, the government is cracking down on subversive groups, and fewer people are bathing as citizens must show ration stamps before they can turn on their faucets. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Ushkhohsania's national animal is the Konfowicz, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Ushkhohs.

Ushkhohsania is ranked 2nd in The United Konfa and 82,499th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -18 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
