The Free Land of United Hives of Honey Bees is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Queen Honey Comb II with an even hand, and remarkable for its keen interest in outer space. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 4.763 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Commerce, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and the Environment receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Deep Space Nine. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 47%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Automobile Manufacturing and Beef-Based Agriculture.

'The Anti-Government Hour' is a popular programme on many of United Hives of Honey Bees's radio stations, the government has ordered a moratorium on referenda, protesters are up in arms over new nuclear power stations, and a large-scale revitalization of the education system is underway. Crime is well under control, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. United Hives of Honey Bees's national animal is the Beekeeper, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Honey.

United Hives of Honey Bees is ranked 58th in Lazarus and 1,243rd in the world for Largest Timber Woodchipping Industry, scoring 13 on the Tasmanian Pulp Environmental Export Index.
