The Federation of Union Socialiste Libertaire is a huge, genial nation, remarkable for its complete lack of prisons. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 630 million are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whoever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Education, with areas such as Law & Order and Defence receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 63%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The arms industry is backed by government subsidies and harsh anti-protest laws are in place, terrified neighbors cower behind concertina wire and machine gun nests, the nation is currently revamping its entire education system, and the government helps teach children how to kill a man from six paces. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Union Socialiste Libertaire's national animal is the Ninja, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Use-value.
