The Ethereal Realm of Undertrad is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Master av Spoler with a fair hand, and renowned for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 3.781 billion love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Equality, and Social Welfare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Ciutat de la Bobina. The average income tax rate is 100%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The upper class have been throwing riots after hunting was recently banned, the mob and the police have recently had numerous clashes in the back alleys of Undertrad's cities due to the government's steadfast anti-casino stance, there has been a series of riots between local cannibals and health food advocates, and the art of conversation has been rediscovered. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Undertrad's national animal is the roc, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the bobbin.

Undertrad is ranked 1,282nd in the Rejected Realms and 101,125th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -60 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
