The Highly Democratic Republic of Ukrazistan is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Vladimir Bezumnyĭ with an iron fist, and notable for its compulsory military service. The hard-nosed, cynical population of 2.779 billion Ukrazistanians are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, moralistic, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Mostov. The average income tax rate is 92%, and even higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Arms Manufacturing.

Jails have become colloquially known as 'vampire houses', a government program is underway to revitalize Ukrazistan's beaches, the nation's industries are scrambling to switch to biodegradable plastics, and the government has started a campaign to crack down on road rage and encourage alternate means of commuting. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Ukrazistan's national animal is the Bear, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Bezumnyĭsm, and its currency is the Stávo.

Ukrazistan is ranked 2,852nd in Balder and 102,847th in the world for Greatest Rich-Poor Divides, scoring 28 on the Inverse Marx-Engels Emancipation Scale.
