The Highly Democratic Republic of Ukrazistan is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Vladimir Bezumnyĭ with an iron fist, and remarkable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. The hard-nosed, cynical population of 3.298 billion Ukrazistanians are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Mostov. The average income tax rate is 95%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Arms Manufacturing.

Gambling is outlawed, the sound of wooden legs echo throughout Ukrazistan after the recent introduction of the Foot Tax, a spate of enforced closures has left 'Government FM' as the nation's only radio station, and abortions are routinely performed in Ukrazistan's hospitals. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Ukrazistan's national animal is the Bear, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities, its national religion is Bezumnyĭsm, and its currency is the Stávo.

Ukrazistan is ranked 353rd in Lazarus and 8,717th in the world for Largest Public Transport Department, scoring 71 on the Societal Mobility Rating.
