The Federal Republic of Tynerania is a massive, devout nation, ruled by O great one with a fair hand, and renowned for its punitive income tax rates. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 1.848 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Welfare, and Law & Order. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Plastered. The average income tax rate is 65%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Military spending is on the increase, Tynerania Barrier Island residents anxiously await their 'Bridge to Somewhere', crime suspects are forced to submit to blood testing, and heavy industry must go to expensive lengths to dispose of waste. Crime is well under control, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Tynerania's national animal is the deer, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the deary.

Tynerania is ranked 1,114th in the Rejected Realms and 85,603rd in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -19 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
