The Armed Republic of Turkish-Turania is a massive, socially progressive nation, renowned for its museums and concert halls. Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population of 3.427 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is effectively ruled by the Department of Education, with areas such as the Environment and Religion & Spirituality receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Bozok. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 57%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Book Publishing, Uranium Mining, and Woodchip Exports industries.

The fire protection service is wholly government-funded, rag-wearing teachers are often mistaken for homeless people, Turkish-Turania is notorious for its citizens' infidelity, and schools have extensive counseling programs for troubled students. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Turkish-Turania's national animal is the wolf, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the turan.

Turkish-Turania is ranked 100th in the South Pacific and 4,617th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring 16 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
