The Republic of Truporia is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Leader with an even hand, and remarkable for its burgeoning dragon population. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 2.1 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of the Environment, Education, and Social Equality. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Cartham. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 39%. A substantial private sector is dominated by the Information Technology industry.

Crime is on the rise as DNA sampling has been all but outlawed, long arduous trials are held for the most trivial of offences, prison visits increase substantially during election years, and expensive lawyers are hired to defend citizens in court for public urination charges against their pets. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is a serious problem. Truporia's national animal is the dragon, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the dollar.

Truporia is ranked 2nd in Asgard and 22,685th in the world for Most Eco-Friendly Governments, scoring 36 on the Dolphin Recycling Awareness Index.
