The Politiea of Trotskylvania is a gargantuan, economically powerful nation, ruled by Leon Trotsky with a fair hand, and remarkable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 11.586 billion live in a state of perpetual fear, as a complete breakdown of social order has led to the rise of order through biker gangs.

The large, pro-business government is effectively ruled by the Department of Social Welfare, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Law & Order receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Trotskygrad. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 34%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Highschool principals regularly send armed truancy patrols to drag problem students to school, corporations donate huge sums of money to favored politicians, the government is avowedly atheist, and the entire country is an urban wasteland as the well-to-do commute from space (Trotskylvania has found 2 easter eggs). Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Trotskylvania's national animal is the economist, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the lux.

Trotskylvania is ranked 11th in The Proletariat Coalition and 96,139th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -28 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
