The Republic of Trimmania is a colossal, cultured nation, ruled by Trimm with an iron fist, and notable for its ban on automobiles. Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 6.472 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Defence, although Law & Order and Education are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Caprica City. The average income tax rate is 99%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Arms Manufacturing.

The nation's new foreign policy of 'very disproportionate retribution' has its neighbors on edge, the armed forces are locked in an expensive and bloody war abroad to stamp out possible terrorists, Red Cross demand for body bags are rising while sutures are decreasing, and prices for nearly everything reach all time highs as business subsidies are discontinued. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Trimmania's national animal is the snork, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the ooga booga.

Trimmania is ranked 4,049th in The East Pacific and 94,168th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -25 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
