Its compassionate, intelligent population of 6.547 billion enjoy a sensible mix of personal and economic freedoms, while the political process is open and the people's right to vote held sacrosanct.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Education, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Mansemount. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 36%. A large private sector is led by the Book Publishing industry, followed by Soda Sales and Basket Weaving.

The government's official stance on religion is that it is so very silly, all mothers are allowed six months fully-paid maternity leave, Members of Parliament are often found living in cardboard boxes, and public footpaths are being slowly eroded by the burgeoning number of ramblers. Crime is totally unknown. Tormore's national animal is the sporran, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the full wallet.
