The average income tax rate is 67%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Uranium Mining, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Information Technology industries.

The nation is currently revamping its entire education system, the government extracts trade concessions from poor nations in exchange for humanitarian aid, children are raised bilingual from an early age, and citizens are encouraged to report friends, family members or co-workers who seem depressed to the government for "counselling". Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Tonatha's national animal is the reptile, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the matrix.

Tonatha is ranked 21st in Greece and 26,750th in the world for Most Compassionate Citizens, scoring 2 on the Kitten Softness Rating.
