The Grand Imperial Kingdom of Tillesia is a massive, safe nation, ruled by His Imperial Majesty with an even hand, and notable for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 2.446 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Serendipity. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 38%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology, Uranium Mining, and Woodchip Exports industries.

Only vaccinated citizens may have free healthcare, internet service is too costly for normal people to purchase, marketing departments of corporate giants compete to sponsor little league teams, and citizens simply have to point a weapon at a government official to get what they want. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Tillesia's national animal is the Hummingbird, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Tillesian Pound.
