The Stunning Yet Imposing Isles of Tiesabre is a colossal, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by President Baylee Yito with an even hand, and notable for its absence of drug laws. Its hard-nosed population of 5.196 billion enjoy extensive civil freedoms, particularly in social issues, while business tends to be more regulated.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of the Environment, Defence, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Dior and Lin Cities. The average income tax rate is 98%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Military spending is on the increase, international tensions are high as Tiesabre threatens any government with the audacity to arrest its citizens, all forms of advertising are banned, and streakers swamp all public events in order to bare it all. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is a serious problem, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Tiesabre's national animal is the Dogin, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Tie.

Tiesabre is ranked 42nd in The Heartland and 50,714th in the world for Most Compassionate Citizens, scoring -2 on the Kitten Softness Rating.
