The Communist Federation of The World Socialist Republic is a massive, socially progressive nation, remarkable for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 1.791 billion love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Education, although Social Welfare and the Environment are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Moskva. The average income tax rate is 91%, and even higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Book Publishing.

The government seizes all major gold finds, The World Socialist Republic's famous countrysides are shrouded by wind farms, owl populations thrive as dogs are slaughtered in the millions, and violently opinionated speakers can be heard preaching their hateful views on every street corner. Crime is totally unknown. The World Socialist Republic's national animal is the owl, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the nonexistant.
