The average commuter spends four hours a day driving to and from work, government-run screening operations remove embryos with severe genetic disorders, marketing departments of corporate giants compete to sponsor little league teams, and dog breeding has been banned in accordance with recent animal experimentation laws. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. The United Republic of the Red Star's national animal is the ManBearPig, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Christianity, and its currency is the Red Star credit.
