The Free Land of The Source2 is a colossal, socially progressive nation, ruled by LEADER with a fair hand, and renowned for its complete lack of prisons. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 9.417 billion live in a state of perpetual fear, as a complete breakdown of social order has led to the rise of order through biker gangs.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, liberal, pro-business individuals juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Education, and Public Transport. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of CAPITAL. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 2%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Book Publishing and Uranium Mining.

The latest Harry Potter book is a bestseller, religious organizations are being forced to leave the country or pay income taxes like everybody else, the entire country is an urban wasteland as the well-to-do commute from space (The Source2 has found 1 easter eggs), and mothers drive their college-graduate children to work. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. The Source2's national animal is the ANIMAL, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is RELIGION, and its currency is the CURRENCY.

The Source2 is ranked 3rd in Holland and 47,194th in the world for Largest Trout Fishing Sector, scoring 1 on the Nemo Depletion Efficiency Index.
