The Odd Future Golfwang of The Salvation States is a gargantuan, socially progressive nation, notable for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 16.76 billion are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Education, and the Environment. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Sinapppolis. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 42%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Book Publishing industry, followed by Automobile Manufacturing and Beef-Based Agriculture.

The government is forced to pander to the will of every fruitcake politician, it's a common sight to see angry commuters with grenade launchers mounted on their vehicles, violently opinionated speakers can be heard preaching their hateful views on every street corner, and inheritance tax has recently been abolished. Crime is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. The Salvation States's national animal is the sabertooth tiger, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the beer.

The Salvation States is ranked 2,197th in Lazarus and 93,952nd in the world for Most Pacifist, scoring -36 on the Lennon-Springsteen Scale.
